Step 1: Navigating to the Plans Page
To view all available subscription tiers, click on Plans in the main navigation sidebar. This opens the Plans page where you can see every tier TaskLine offers, compare features, and choose the right fit for your freelance business.
At the top of the page, you'll find a monthly/annual toggle that lets you switch between billing cycles. Selecting annual billing displays a "Save up to 34%" badge, showing you exactly how much you save by committing to a yearly plan.
Step 2: Exploring the Four Tiers
TaskLine offers four subscription tiers, each displayed as a plan card on the Plans page:
- Free — get started at no cost. Includes basic access to clients, projects, tasks, and invoices with starter limits. Perfect for freelancers just getting started or testing the platform.
- Pro — expanded limits and additional features for growing freelancers who need more capacity. Unlocks higher project, client, and invoice caps.
- Plus — the most popular tier, marked with a "POPULAR" badge on its card. Includes premium features, significantly higher limits, and priority capabilities for established freelancers.
- Business — the top-tier plan for agencies and high-volume freelancers. This tier is labeled "COMING SOON" and is not yet available for purchase.
Step 3: Comparing Features Across Tiers
Each plan card lists the key features and limits included in that tier. You can compare them side by side to understand what you gain by upgrading:
- Client limits — the maximum number of clients you can manage.
- Project limits — how many active projects you can have at once.
- Task limits — the total number of tasks you can create.
- Invoice limits — how many invoices you can send per billing cycle.
- Communication features — email and SMS capabilities vary by tier.
- Advanced features — scheduling, booking pages, AI tools, and more are unlocked at higher tiers.
Scroll through the feature list on each card to see exactly what is included. Features not available in a tier are either hidden or shown as locked.
Step 4: Understanding Tier Limits in the App
When you reach a limit on your current tier, TaskLine shows you a clear indicator rather than silently blocking you. For example, on the Projects page, items that exceed your tier's capacity appear under a Locked tab.
The Locked tab lets you see what's been restricted so you can decide whether to upgrade or manage your existing items to free up space. This applies to projects, clients, and other tier-limited resources throughout the app.
